5- February - A 19-year-old man turned himself in after reportedly torturing, strangling and stabbing his older sister, a 22-year-old university inflatable student, because he suspected her behaviour.

6- February 26 - A 16-year-old reportedly strangled his older divorced sister with the cord of a mobile phone charger because her family claimed that the 25-year-old was “found with a strange man”.

7- March 22 - A father and his two teenaged sons were charged with premeditated murder in connection with the beating death of their female relative inflatable bouncer because the victim lied about her whereabouts and was caught wearing makeup by one of her uncles.

8- April 6 - An 18-year-old suspect reportedly confessed to stabbing his 21-year-old sister to death for leaving the family home for unknown destinations shortly after she was released from the governor’s office.

9- April 11 - A 24-year-old man was charged inflatable moving cartoon with the premeditated murder of his 29-year-old married sister after reportedly stabbing her to death with a meat cleaver and kitchen knife while she slept at her family’s house for “going out with men”.

10- May 10 - A 30-year-old mother of six was reportedly stabbed to death with a switchblade by her brothers, aged 44 and 19, after she went missing from her husband’s house for 10 hours.

11- July 9 - A 24-year-old farmer was wholesale leather charged with stabbing his pregnant sister 10 times in front of a crowd because he was told that his sibling was engaged in an “illegitimate” affair with a man.

12- July 20 - A 20-year-old man stabbed his wholesale leather bags married sister 20 times and crushed her head with a rock after accusing her of “immoral behaviour” in an Amman suburb. The woman reportedly left her family’s house one month before the incident and was found by police in an apartment with a man.

13- August 11 - A 16-year-old victim of incestuous rape was shot nine times in the head and back while at her father’s home in an Amman suburb by her uncle, who claimed “family honour” as his motive.

14- August 13 - A 28-year-old woman was shot and killed by her 20-year-old brother as she left a wedding because her family disapproved of her husband, to whom she was married for two years.

15- August 26 - A 17-year-old girl died nine leather bags days after her throat was reportedly slit by her brother who also stabbed her repeatedly to cleanse his family’s honour in the Jordan Valley. The 24-year-old farmer claimed that he was “100 per cent” sure his sister was involved in an affair.

16- September 8 - A young man in Aqaba confessed to murdering his sister because of her “alleged immoral behaviour”.
